Suzuki Marauder Modifications🔗
A compilation of the modifications that I've made to my 2001 Suzuki vz800 Marauder.
Pair Valve Removal🔗
The pair valve on the Suzuki Marauder is the bit that sits on top of the cylinders on the right side of the motorcycle. It's purpose is to thin the exhaust and to combust any remaining fuel in the exhaust vapor. This combustion doesn't drive the bike at all, it's designed primarily to fool emissions detectors. Removing the pair valve reduces unnecessary combustion (improving the smoothness of the Marauder's exhaust system) and takes off about 5 lbs of unnecessary weight.
